Cam Newton Celebrates Panthers Being Over .500 For the First Time in Five Years With Warren Sapp Doll

It's been a long time since the Carolina Panthers have been relevant in the NFL. The 2003 Super Bowl is a long time ago. Since than they have managed to get to the post season just twice, the last time coming in 2008. To add insult to injury the team has not even had a record above .500 since than.

That is, until now.

Thursday night's game was about what fans expected--pretty easy. Tampa Bay never really threatened the Panthers in the game as Cam Newton led the team to two touchdowns on their first two drives en route to an easy 31-13 win.

With one of the top defenses in the league and a young star that appears to be coming into his own finally if the Panthers can remain healthy there is no telling what other droughts the team might end this season.
