Dana White Trolls Tito Ortiz on Twitter After Hearing About His Neck Injury

It was going to be one of those fights--you know the kind. Fans love to see the sport's titans go at it and on November 2 they were going to get it when a pair of former UFC legends--Tito Oritz and Rampage Jackson-- were going to square off at Bellator 106.

But that's not going to happen now.

A fractured neck has caused Ortiz to pull out of the fight with Jackson. He wanted to fight still even after doctors told him he was injured, but with the possibility of further injury resulting in paralysis there was really no choice.

The fight was the headliner of Bellator's first pay-per-view event, but it appears that the company has decided to go another direction. The event will now be broadcast on Spike free of charge.

It's a brilliant move. While the card still has three title fights on it with the headliner cancelled there were bound to be some fans upset, but you can't argue with getting a great night of fighting for free.

Tito's former boss, Dana White, didn't hide his feelings when he heard the news:

Not cool at all, but not surprising either. White has never been too crazy about his fighters doing anything outside of the UFC and must not have been too happy about Ortiz getting back in the octagon after retiring from UFC action (not getting his contract renewed might have had something to do with that).

The big question now has to be what Ortiz is going to do. He will be turning 39 in January, has had more than his fair share of injuries, and--well, we are talking about a jacked up neck here. Would another fight be worth the risk of paralysis?
