If You Don't Know Rams RB Zach Stacy--Get to Know Him

The St. Louis Rams are going to be without their leader, quarterback Sam Bradford, for the rest of the season so if the team is going to survive some other guys are going to have to step up. It looks like the tea does have two guys that are trying to do just that--journeyman quarterback Kellen Clemens and rookie fifth round running back Zach Stacy.

Fans know are aware of Clemens, but who is this Stacy kid?

From Bleacher Report
Zach Stcy was taken in the fifth round out of Vanderbilt where he had a pretty solid career. Over the last two seasons he rushed for over 2300 yards, averaged over 5.5 yards a carry, and scored 24 touchdowns on the ground.

Pretty good, right? Especially since it came primarily against the tough defenses of the SEC. So the Rams took a late round flier on him.

He did okay with the few carries they gave him here and there, but over the last two weeks since he became the featured back he's been something else. Against Seattle last week he tallied 134 yards on 26 carries. Sunday against the Titans he had another 100+ yard day (127 on 27 carriess) and two touchdowns.

Excuse me while I check and see if he's still available in my fantasy league.
