Oregon Running Back De'Anthony Thomas Fires First Shot at Stanford

The NFL might as well move Thursday night's game to Friday or Sunday because no one is going to be watching that sucker. A game between the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings is not going to grab the attention of football fans quite like one between Oregon and Stanford.

As if the fact that the No. 5 and No. 3 teams in the nation engaging in a battle for gridiron glory and a shot at the BCS title in January wasn't enough--Ducks running back De'Anthony Thomas decided to fan the flames in a recent interview.

Last season's game was a close 17-14 win for Stanford so saying the Ducks are going to put up 40 on a team that is giving up less than 20 is a pretty tall order.

Fans already know this is going to be a good game, but hey--it never hurts to fan the fire with a little good-natured trash talk during the week!
