Rugby is not a sport for the weak or timid. No, you have to be in excellent shape to play it well and it helps to be just a little bit crazy too. That's pretty much how the men and women that play are able to do what they do.
That same passion is often exhibited just as much in fans as the players--and apparently even the mascots.
Las Vegas was host to the 2014 USA Rugby 7s Tournament over the weekend. At one point in the action a fan of Spain's team was set to race one of the USA Rugby mascots (see below). However, the odds were stacked against him even though he was racing a big ole bee--because there was another mascot waiting to take him out.

The whole thing was planned of course; some entertainment for the predominantly American crowd. However, it ended up getting a little serious. The poor guy that got tackled had to be helped off the field!
