Store in New York City Selling New England Patriots AFC Championship Gear Already?

It is not unusual for fans to jump the gun and do something that proclaims their team the eventual champion even before the game is played, but for a store to do so? That is a little on the odd side--but it didn't stop one location in NYC from putting some Patriots AFC Champions shirts out long before they actually earn the moniker.

Why on Earth would someone do something so presumptuous? There are a variety of reasons:
  1. They want to curse/jinx the Patriots; this is New York after all (home of the Jets and Giants).
  2. The store owner wants to capitalize on these suckers before the Patriots lose. No sense in sending all of them to a third world country when a little money can be made off of them first.
  3. The stock boy screwed up, but since they started to sell the store owner left them out.
Whatever the reason, the folks that bought them are either going to be really embarrassed when the Patriots lose tomorrow (because you know they are going to wear them to a party or bar) or will be the loud, annoying drunk guy that can't stop bragging when the Patriots win (since he already has the t-shirt).
