Albert Pujols is one of the premier sluggers in the league. Few have hit home runs with the consistency that he has in his career. Barring injury he could very well be the man that breaks Barry Bonds career record. So a milestone ball like Tuesday night's 500th career home run is going to be worth something big.
And the man that caught just wants to give it back to the guy that hit it.

His name is Tom Sherrill and he is a 29-year old staff sergeant in the Air Force. After catching the ball he had to know the reporters were going to be on their way. They were all going to have one question.
What do you want for it?
His answer may come as a surprise--nothing (via
Big League Stew).
"I'll take whatever they want to give me, but I'm not going to be picky. I just want to make sure that Albert gets the ball. I'm just happy to be a part of it."
Well done Staff Sergeant. Well done indeed.
