Matt Jones Makes the Shot of the Year to Win Shell Houston Open [GIF]

I dig golf. I don't dig it enough to know if the claim in the title is true; I'm trusting what the guy that covers golf for Yahoo says on this one. However, I do know enough about the game to realize that if the pitch Matt Jones made on the playoff hole of the Shell Houston Open is not the best shot on the PGA Tour this season it should rank pretty high.

What makes it even better is that along with giving him his first career PGA Tour event it guarantees him a spot in the Masters!

It wasn't the only awesome, clutch shot he made on the day. To force a playoff hole he needed to make birdie on the final hole and hope that Matt Kuchar bogeyed. After Jones made this putt for birdie Kuchar held up his end (and forced the playoff hole).
