Washington Redksins quarterback Robert Griffin III is a pretty popular guy. Yeah, he has his haters like everyone else in the public eye, but that comes with the territory. By and large he's a pretty well liked guy. This was pretty evident when he joined Instagram Sunday morning and with two hours had close to 50,000 followers (you know it would be more if it was football season).

Social media has become a great tool for fans to get in touch with player and vice versa, but it has also become a great one for businesses to start grass roots marketing campaigns as well. Adidas doesn't really need much help when it comes to promoting the quarterback of the Redskins, but it sure doesn't hurt to have it.
