This time it was wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones.

Jones started to act like he wanted to fight and police really didn't have any choice but to take him in. Here's the interesting part--he was only charged with disorderly conduct.
The obvious question that is going to be on the minds of many is this--what in the hell is going on and why isn't Kevin Sumlin getting control of it? This arrest comes less than two weeks after quarterback Kenny Hill was arrested. A pair of defenders, Defensive tackle Isaiah Golden and linebacker Darian Claiborne, were arrested not too long ago on noise violations and drug possession.
However, at the same time I can't help but wonder if the spotlight and the finger wagging is due more to the media and bloggers than Sumlin's lack of control.
- How many college players smoke marijuana (any guesses Oregon?)?
- How many go out drinking, 21-years old or not?
- How many get arrested for disorderly conduct and we never hear about because they are not household names or from big programs?
Most of us never heard about Johnny Maniel's arrest until he became a household name.
The conduct is inexcusable of course whether its from a football player or any other student (whose arrest never make the news/blog cycle), and needs to be dealt with. However, maybe the attention should be more on underage drinking and drug use by all students--not just Texas A&M football players (they certainly not the only guilty ones).
Football players aren't the only college students that like to have a few too many beers from time to time.
