WATCH: College Baseball Team Records Rare 9-3-2 Triple Play!

Triple plays alone are not that common; there wasn't a single one in big leagues last season (according to this list). Of the possible combinations, a 9-3-2 (right fielder, first baseman, catcher) one is especially rare. After checking out the aforementioned list I found just one (1950 Washington Senators against New York Yankees).

I haven't found any such list for the college ranks, but if there is one than Greensboro College should now be included after recording one against Maryville Saturday.

However, as awesome as that play is in the end the day belonged to Maryville who won in 12 innings, 5-4.
