Man Acquited of Stabbing Steelers Offensive Lineman Mike Adams Now Suing Him

Almost a year ago Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams had one horrible night. Basically three guys tried to carjack late him at night and somewhere along the way ended up stabbing him. How much does that suck?

Well--it gets worse. Not only where the perps acquitted, but now Adams is being sued by one.

The criminal case came down to he said-they said. Adams said they tried to hold him and carjack him. They were unsuccessful and ended up stabbing him before running off. The defendants say it was a fight with a drunk Adams after he knocked food out of the hands of one of the guys.

Since there was not sufficient evidence to back up Adams the trio were acquitted and let go.

Dquay Means, one of the three alleged attackers, is seeking damages or emotional distress caused by the 11 months he spent behind bars prior to being acquitted of all charges but on (escape--because he tried to evade police once he knew he was wanted).

What he is likely counting on is Adams wanting the case to go away. After testing positive for marijuana the former Ohio State Buckeye dropped in to the second round of the '12 draft where Adams convinced GM Kevin Colbert the drug test was an isolated incident.

Supposedly the team included some stipulations when they picked him. With that being the case having a lawsuit where he is being accused of being drunk and getting in a fight would not be good.

So Means is looking for an easy payday when Adams decides to settle (the dirty rat).
