Green Bay Packers Looking to Add Former Running Back Johnathan Franklin to Staff?

Johnathan Franklin was a heck of a running back during his playing days at UCLA. When the Green Bay Packers drafted him fans likely imagined he and Eddie Lacy would become the premier one-two combo in the league. That is, until a neck injury forced Franklin to call it a career after one season.

However, that does not mean he is done with the organization by any means.

Head coach Mike McCarthy had this to say after practice Monday:

MM said it was great to have Johnathan Franklin visiting practice. Hopes to find a non-playing role for him in the organization.

What exactly that means remains to be seen, but it would not be surprising to see him join the staff as a coaching intern.
