Oklahoma Commit's 66-Yard Field Goal Stirs Up Some Animosity Between Texas and Oklahoma Fans

Over the weekend a kick made by future Oklahoma kicker Austin Seibert was picked up by just about every blog and sports website under the sun (okay, maybe not every but quite a few of them). Yes, part of the reason is because there is not much football news out there and fans are dying for something, but it was also one heck of a kick.

Who knew it would be enough to stir up some feelings online from Texas and Oklahoma fans?

Apparently Seibert's timeline got a lot of 'love' from some Texas fans (totally being sarcastic) as his 66-yarder got more and more attention. Enough so that Oklahoma fans took up for him and he felt the need to send this out Sunday evening:

Now, if he had been blasting Texas and posting his kick all over the place I could see talking some trash--but he wasn't. So while I'm a big fan of loudmouth kids being put in their place in this case we have some loudmouth fans harassing a minor.

Talking trash to a high school kid? For shame t-sips. For shame.

  1. No, Texas fans know all too well how to count in the 60's. 66 by UCLA...65 and 63 by big brother OU.
