Oregon QB Marcus Mariota in Trouble With the Law?

For the last couple years Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota has been an absolute joy to watch play. From what we hear via social media and the news he's a pretty good kid too. We know that mostly because we don't hear about him in the media too often because he is not one of the many idiots that get in trouble with the law.

That is, until now. Marcus Mariota has had a brush with the law.

It's only fitting that the speedy quarterback was busted for doing on the streets what he does on the field--going too fast. On November 12 he was ticketed going 80 in a 55 MPH zone on a stretch of Highway 126W near Veneta.

Word is he was as nice as could be too (via RegisterGuard):
“That’s a speed that we’d issue a citation to anyone for,” state police Lt. Josh Brooks said. He added that Hockema recognized Mariota, and that “Marcus was polite and respectful” during the stop.
“He accepted his citation and gave the trooper no trouble,” Brooks said.
It's Marcus Mariota. Did you really expect him to get in serious trouble?
