Arizona Cardinals Twitter Account Responds to the Trolls Following Historic Loss to Carolina Panthers

What had the makings of a great season for the Arizona Cardinals ended in a defeat Saturday with the team falling to the Carolina Panthers 27-16. The game was actually much worse than the score would indicate though. If it wasn't for some stellar defensive play the score would have been much more lopsided.

Why? Because the Cardinals offense set a new NFL playoff record by gaining just 77 yards on the day. This of course encourage the Twitter trolls to do their worst.

Rather than just take it and move on whoever was in charge of the team's Twitter account decided to fire back:

Okay. Considering all the crap that people were spewing on the Cardinals Twitter feed I have no problem with this, but for some reason lots of people have. Apparently it is okay for people to act like childish, moronic fools and say some mean, vulgar, hateful things, but it is not okay for the team to get a little childish in response.

Yes, you could say that a professional (whoever in the PR department runs the Twitter account) should not stoop to the idiotic level of the trolling masses. Trolls do what they do in order to get a rise out of their target--which they got.

At the same time, you sometimes have to fight fire with fire.
