Green Bay Packers DB Sam Shields Says Dez Bryant Made the Catch

The Dallas Cowboys finally made it back to the post season and won the division this season in large part due to the tremendous play of wide receiver Dez Bryant. He almost got the team a trip to the NFC Championship game with a late fourth quarter catch that would have put the Cowboys in scoring range with plenty of time on the clock--but it was ruled a non-catch.

Dallas fans and Dez Bryant have been up in arms about and now have an unlikely ally in their cry for fairness and justice--the defensive back covering Bryant on the play, Sam Shields.

Why he is speaking up now is a mystery, but for some reason Shields is now saying that he believes it was indeed a catch:

It's a little interesting that he pats himself on the back in the process, and his opinion matters as little as mine and yours (unless you are on the NFL Rules committee).
