Suspension May Make it Easier for Colts to Get Rid of Trent Richardson

The saga that is Trent Ricchardson has yet to come to an end in Indianapolis. The former Alabama running back was left home when the Colts went to Foxbourough last week for the AFC Championship Game. Reports made it sound like it was for a suspension, and then we heard that his mother has passed away. As it turns out his mom is alive and well. All the team would say at the time was that it was for peronal reasons which Richardson confirmed.

Now the official word appears to be that he was indeed  suspended and will still be suspeneded for another game if he is back next year.

The assumption is that the suspension has something to do with him missing a walk through.

Appareently there is some language in his contract that may allow the Colts to get rid of him without havine to pay him his full guaranteed salary of $3.18 million:

If this is indeed true that will be a good thing for the Colts, Richardson is clearly not going to be the guy for the Colts so there is no sense on allowing him to take up a roster spot someone that can contribute may use.
