Randy Gregory Makes His First Big Mistake as a Dallas Cowboy

When the Dallas Cowboys picked up Randy Gregory in the second round of the draft fans pretty much thought two different things: (1) what the heck are they doing picking a kid that wasn't smart enough to quite smoking long enough to pass his urine test at the combine and/or (2) we just got the steal of the draft in this kid.

From what we have been hearing so far it sounds like Gregory is going to do anything and everything in his power to make sure the team doesn't regret picking him. As long as he plays like the beast he was at Nebraska that shouldn't be a problem, and the fans will love him too.

However, until he plays all fans have to judge him from is what he says and does. He made a comment during a recent appearance on a local radio show that is not going to endear him to the fan base.

He insulted a Texas institution--Whataburger. When asked about his favorite food he had this to say:

I live on In-N-Out, probably go to In-N-Out every day. I lived on the West Coast. I've had Whataburger. I had that about 3 o'clock in the morning one time, I think when I first came out here to visit. Wasn't too impressed. Any calories I put in is good, they don't care what it is. I probably order pizza every other night. The important thing is I'm gaining weight. That's what they wanted.

Wasn't too impressed? WTF? How can you not like Whataburger at 3AM? That is the perfect time to eat it!

To each his own. I get it, but we are talking about a Texas institution Randy. Be nice.
