WATCH: Virginia's Kevin Doherty Hits Three-Run Double to Give Cavaliers Lead Over Maryland
Virginia had scattered five hits over the first seven innings of Friday's super regional opener against Maryland before exploding in the 8th inning. Down 3-0 and running out of time the offense woke up in fine fashion recording five hits and five runs to take the lead. The decisive runs were scored after Kevin Doherty hit this base-clearing double.
