Malik Zaire has proven to be everything the Fighting Irish could want and more in a quarterback. He has thrown the ball well and made some great runs for Notre Dame against Virginia. Prior to kickoff head coach Brian Kelly commented on how his running ability added another dimension to the offense.
It looks like they may have to finish the game without him after his ankle was rolled up on during a third quarter run. Hopefully he will not have to miss much time beyond Saturday (if any), but it certainly doesn't look good.
