When Malik Zaire went down you knew the Fighting Irish offense would suffer, but it looked like the defense suffered just as much. Virginia has been playing well on offense in the second half anyway, but after Zaire went down it almost seemed like the Cavaliers smelled blood in the water and decided to go in for the kill. With a one-yard plunge the Cavaliers finished off a 13-play drive with a touchdown to take a one point lead with not much time left.

Wow. That's all I can say--just wow.
