Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing Playing Like A Man That Doesn't Want To Go Anywhere [VIDEO]

Back before the trade deadline came and went, Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing heard some awful news--his team was open to trading him away. The general perception was that his performance was declining too fast for the team to want to keep him around. So what does he do? Two days prior to the trade deadline he turns in a 13 tackle game against Tennessee.

The last two weeks he has been a big part of the success the team has had on defense the last two weeks. He was seen flying around against Cincinnati and did so against New York Sunday as well.



Should he be able to keep it up will the team want to keep him around, or will he become a cap casualty? He has a cap hit of $9 million, $9.5 million, and $9.7 million the next three seasons. To justify being kept at that salary he will not only need to keep playing at the level he has played at the last couple weeks.

He is going to have to play even better.

He's good, but $9 million good? I don't know.....
