Now it appears that when he goes back to Baton Rouge Saturday his former boss's job will depend on how well Chavis can do his job.

Losing to Alabama and Arkansas two years in a row have many doubting whether Miles can bring the team to the next level and win a conference championship again (let alone a national title). Supposedly a decision on his future will come after the game making it sound like the outcome could influence the decision.
Could Texas A&M actually beat the Tigers though? Leonard Fournette has been contained the last three weeks (all losses), but the Aggies are notoriously bad against the run. Even if they do, Brandon Jennings is not bad and the Tigers do some decent threats at wide receiver.
The game will certainly be a test for Chavis' defense, but the best defense for A&M will likely be the offense. If Kyle Allen can get the team out to an early lead and force the Tigers to abandon the run they can neutralize the best player the Tigers have.
Last year the defense did not do terrible against LSU so between Chavis and the talent that has been added maybe the Aggies can handle Fournette--or at least slow him down enough.
We'll find out Saturday night.
