Navy Knocks Memphis From Ranks Of Undefeated With Lopsided Win [VIDEO]

Memphis has been college football's Cinderella ever since they took down Ole Miss. When the CFB Playoff rankings came out there were many that thought they had been shafted by the committee. After the way Navy ran all over the Tigers Saturday the committee members have to be smiling. They were right.

Navy didn't do anything special, but they did do two things that were out of character for the Midshipmen.

They actually completed a touchdown pass. Prior to Saturday's game, Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds had only thrown two touchdown passes this season (25 over his four year career). It was a beauty of a pass too; a 75-yarder to DeBrandon Sanders.

Navy is not known for passing because the run works so well for them. They ended up running for 374 yards and five touchdowns against Memphis, but was unusual was what quarterback Keenan Reynolds did--or more like what he didn't do.

He didn't record a rushing touchdown. With 77 for his career he is tied for the NCAA career record. It looks like fans will have to wait till next week to see if he gets it against SMU.
