New York Media Fails To Bait J.J. Watt Into Providing Locker Room Material

Playing inn New York is tough. It is not easy to play anywhere in the NFL, but the New York media is notorious for being brutal to not just the visiting teams, but the home team as well. So if you sign with a New York team you better be ready for the scrutiny, and if you are playing against one you better watch what you say as well.

You never know when how they are going to take something, twist it around, and make it sound like you said something you really didn't say. Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt knows this. So when he talked with the New York media he made sure to be careful with how he phrased things.

He also didn't hide the fact that he knew exactly what the media reps where up to when they kept trying to get him to say something about the whole mess with Andy Dalton.
"You're just trying to get something to quote me on, and I'm not going to give it to you," Watt said. "I'm sorry. I'm on to the New York Jets," he said, "Nice try, New York. New York media. You guys are persistent. I love it."
At least he gave them credit for trying to do their jobs. Most guys wouldn't do that.
