Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen Admits To Having Shoulder Injury After Alabama Game

During the game against Alabama there was a play where Kyle Allen got slammed onto the turf pretty hard. He looked injured when he got up, the world assumed he was injured, but for some reason the word coming out of College Station was that he was just fine. That's what Kevin Sumlin told the media, and Allen (being the good soldier that he is) did not deny it.

He didn't play well the following week against Ole Miss, and was subsequently benched--or at least that is what we were led to believe as Sumlin said the position was open to a competition.

For some reason, Allen is now telling the truth--he was hurt. He had an AC joint sprain in his shoulder suffered during the Alabama game, and was not 100 percent during the Ole Miss game:

This is weird. If he was injured, why not just say so? Why go through the charade of pretending the starter's job was up for grabs? It doesn't make any sense at all.
