WATCH: Chiefs LB Justin Houston With Pick-6; Philip Rivers Pulls Up Rather Than Try To Tackle Him

Sunday was not a good day for Phillip Rivers. His team ended up losing, and they can't even pretend that it was close. The Chargers flat out got their behinds handed to them by the Kansas City Chiefs. To make matters a little worse, he got in a sideline spat with his friend and longtime tight end Antonio Gates.

You can tell he wasn't feeling it during the game when he threw an interception to Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston. During Houston's return Rivers had a chance to make a play, but instead pulled up with Houston still five yards and watched him score.

He is going to catch some grief over that from somewhere; if not the media than in the locker room after they review the film. Quarterback always get railed when they make 'business decisions' like that.

To be honest--can we blame him? Houston probably would have run through him anyway. If he didn't, the Chiefs would have had first and goal on the two yard line. Was risking injury worth delaying the inevitable?

In his mind--nope.
