Arizona Cardinals DB Tyrann Mathieu Think He Has More Of An Impact Than J.J. Watt?

The Arizona Cardinals have a good one in defensive back Tyrann Mathieu. He is one of the best in the business at what he does, and impacts the game each and every week in some way. Many have him has a contender in Defensive Player of the Year conversations, but behind Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt who many consider the best defensive player of the current generation.

Brandon Marshall said as much recently, and when Mathieu heard about it he had to chime in with his own two sense:

Alright, we see you @devine_mathieu.

His tweet can be taken one of two ways: (1) he disagrees and thinks he is the better player or (2) he is just using Marshall's comment as motivation.

Either way, if it helps make him play better than there is no harm in saying anything. If it all about the perception people have of him relative to the other top players in the league--get over yourself Mathieu. There is nothing wrong with being one of the best in the game (and not the best).
