However, Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers he had a decent night with 67 yards on 13 carries. Could it be that he is finally starting to live up to his potential?
In the context of the team's total offense that isn't much, but on an individual level he averaged 5.2 yards/carry. There isn't a team in the NFL that would complain about that. However, to be fair, 36 of those yards came on one carry. So on the other 12 carries he averaged 2.6 yards/carry.
It would be easy to dismiss his efforts as still being sub-par, but what running back does not pad his stats with big runs? They all do, but with just 13 carries his one big run has more of an impact.
So yes, he did show more promise, but he still has a long way to go.
