Stage Is Set For J.J. Watt To Have An Epic Day Against The Buffalo Bills

For the Buffalo Bills to keep their playoff hopes alive they are going to need to figure out how to do something no one has yet to do--stop J.J. Watt. The Houston Texans superstar has been an absolute beast of late notching the kind of numbers defensive coordinators wouldn't mind getting from all their down lineman combined.

Over the last five games he has made 27 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 29 QB hits and 12 tackles for a loss. It is looking like his numbers could be pretty epic against the Bills on Sunday.

In the past Watt has had pretty good luck against the Bills, but with a mobile Tyrod Taylor at quarterback it will not be as easy to hit him as it was to get E.J. Manuel last year. However, it looks like Taylor could be running a lot from Watt since the team may be forced to start two back-ups on the right side of the line.

Bills head coach Rex Ryan recognized that it could be an issue, but that it would be even if the starters were going to be in the game (via ESPN):
"I wouldn't think a whole lot [of a problem]," coach Rex Ryan sarcastically said Thursday, his eyes wide in feigned disbelief.
Getting serious, Ryan looked down, laughing. "I mean ... maybe a little bit of a problem," he continued. "It might be a little bit of a problem if the startinggroup is out there."
Last season Watt had nine hits on E.J. Manuel and an 80-yard pick-6. Another game like that would go a long way towards keeping the Texans playoff hopes alive while putting the Bills hopes on life support.
