While losing him is bad, it could end up being a good thing because it will give Julius Thomas a chance to step up and prove his worth.
After missing a lot of time because of an injury, he has slowly become more and more a part of the team's game plan. He had his first 100+ yard game for the Jaguars last week with nine receptions (10 targets) for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Could this be a sign of what's to come from Thomas?
If given the chance it probably is. The only thing that may stop him is if Marqise Lee finally lives up to his potential. Lee is getting the start with Hurns out, but he has struggled to stay on the field this season. It would be surprising just to see him finish the game.
