Oregon State quarterback Cody Vaz did his best to keep his team in the game; the problem is that he also did his best to keep Texas in the game as well.
Even with the interceptions and fumble the Beavers were able to hold off the Longhorns thanks to the strong running of Storm Woods, but in the second half he only had six carries (the analysts said something about him being hurt at one point). Without the running game to hold the Longhorns back, Vaz proceeded to have his jock handed to him; Texas sacked him 10 times.
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (Dec 29): Michigan State 17 TCU 16
I was looking forward to this game ending with the hopes that I would be able to write this great article about how colleges from Texas are rocking it in the bowl games this year winning all six that they have been in. Instead I have to say something like "TCU Becomes the First Texas School to Fall" or "Thanks for Jacking Things Up Horned Frogs" or "So Much For Texas College Dominance; Thanks TCU."
It looked good for the Horned Frogs in the first half, but this was one of those tale of two halves games. First half--all TCU; second half--all Michigan State. The Horned Frogs really couldn't do anything on offense making it just a matter of time before the No.3 rusher in the nation was able to do enough damage to lead the Spartans to victory.
