Danica Patrick Makes History; Wins Pole for the Daytona 500



Danica Patrick may be known far and wide as a beautiful woman that happens to race, but the 30-year driver wants to be known for more than that. She wants to be known for the same thing as every other person behind the wheel–her racing.

Sunday she took a big step in that direction by making history at the Daytona International Speedway. After an early run on the 2.5 mile course saw her average 196.434 miles per hour she was actually in the lead for the pole position in next Sunday’s Daytona 500.
