Cornerback Darrell Revis had wanted to stay a part of the New York Jets, but after the way he has been treated the last few weeks you have to think that he can't wait to get out of the Big Apple. If the most recent rumors are true he may soon get that chance.
Rumor has it that the Jets have an offer on the table for Revis and that it is a good one. Just what it is remains unknown to the general public at this time, but if a deal is going to be done it is likely that it will happen sooner rather than later.
Who it is with is also unknown, but the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the teams believed to be interested according to the rumor mill (even though the 49ers and Falcons both deny interest).
Losing a player of Revis's caliber is never something that a team wants to do, but in the Jets case it might be a good thing. With the number of veteran players the Jets have had to cut recently they are going to need draft picks if they are going to have any hope of filling all the holes on their roster.
San Francisco was recently thought to be a likely trading partner with the Jets since they have so many picks in the coming draft,, but there is no indication who the team is at the time.
