Dirk Nowitzki Brings the Mavericks Back Within a Game of Shaving Those Beards

The Dallas Mavericks are not going to go quietly in the night, that much is for certain. With a tough game against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday it would not have been shocking to see the Mavericks drop one. Nothing against the team; the Bulls are just a good squad in their own right.

With the season winding down and those beards starting to make the team look like Civil War reenactors the guys appear to be dialed in and ready to make a push for the post season.

Thanks to a late three by Dirk Nowitzki that gave them a 100-98 win over the Bulls they are still right in the hunt (one game out with nine to go).

They will get a chance to shave and make that one game up when they travel to Los Angeles on April 2 for a game with the Lakers who are tied with the Jazz for the No. 8 seed in the West (not taking tie-breakers in to account).
