Jon Niese's Wife Wears Rally Panties

Forget the rally cap sports fans-- rally panties is where it is at.

The New York Mets are already making news, but it has nothing really to do with baseball. It is because the hot wife of its starting pitcher on Opening Day, Jon Niese, likes to share what most would consider a little too much info.

In a recent interview Leah Niese offered up some information that her hubby might have preferred she keep between just them. But hey--it's out there now...

“I’m the superstitious one,” said Leah, 23. “I have lucky underwear — they’re Mets underwear.”

Apparently whenever her hubby pitches she wears the same lucky blue panties.

“I go to every possible game that I can — because he does better when I’m there,” she says

Lucky underwear is not an uncommon thing; this just might be the first time that I've heard of someone's wife wearing it and not the player. There must be something to it though. Last season Niese was not bad with a 13-9 record and a decent ERA of 3.40.

Something had to be working right for the Mets to name him the Opening Day starter, right? 

Perhaps if Jon and Leah really want to work the mojo with her lucky panties she should let Jon wear them. It worked for Tim Robbins in Bull Durham after all...
