Louisville's Kevin Ware Breaks Leg--Video Not for Faint of Heart

The battle for the final spot in the Final Four took a unfortunate turn for the worse when Louisville Cardinals guard Kevin Ware went down with a broken leg.

Up 21-17 with just under seven minutes left in the first half Ware tried to jump up in order to contest Tyler Thornton's three-point shot. He lands on one leg and--well, lets just say it is one those things that will make you recoil in horror a little.

So if you get a little queasy when you see gruesome injuries you might want to steel yourself before you hit play.I swear my leg hurt a little just watching this:

  1. I am glad they pulled this video . . . there's no need to show something like this at the expense of the player and team!

    2. I agree don't watch the video. Nobody told you to click the play button. Yes self control. All sports are contact sports so injuries will occur.

    2. Be careful what you wish on others as it may happen to you!...Karma. These are young men that have bright futures and work hard. May God Bless them and their families and may God forgive the ones with wicked tongues and instill kindness in them.

    3. They need to show the video. Everybody thinks it all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.If you want to experience the full effect of sports the injury videos need to be shown.

  9. the way it broke reminded me of Joe Thiesmans hit instantly because i remember squinting as soon as i saw the bone moving backward in the slow=mo replays. Im not tring to compair anyones level pain or injurie, but im 53 and besides the arm wrestling guys wrist/arm snapping this was the only other time i remember squinting, i mean no peaking quick hard squint on a replay. jb.overanout

    1. That's a pretty good comparison. I remember Theisman's injury too; that one was pretty harsh as well.
