Kobe Bryant Injured Again in Loss to Milwaukee

And the hits keep coming for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kobe Bryant and gang had appeared to get their act together and were making a strong push for the playoffs, but a rash of injuries may put an end to that. First it was Metta World Peace (out for six weeks) and now it appears like Kobe Bryant may be headed for the bench as well.

There was no point in the game where Kobe appeared to get hurt, but the team announced after the 113-103 loss the Milwaukee Bucks that he had a bone spur in his left ankle.

While he needed to leave the arena on crutches he told reporters that he was fine; that it was just a little inflamed. I find it hard to believe that the team would be flying him to Sacramento to see a specialist if it was just inflamed.

He will have plenty of time off before the team's next game on Saturday (against Sacramento).

With just a half game lead on the Jazz and a game and half lead on the Mavericks the Lakers can ill afford to lose another player, especially Kobe. There is also a chance that Steve Nash could miss time as well after injuring his hip against Milwaukee.
