The Chicago Bulls put an end to the Miami Heat's winning streak the other, stopping them at 27; well short of the record of 33 set by the Los Angeles Lakers back during the 1971-72 season.
Over the course of the streak the Heat really did play some great basketball. LeBron James made some incredible play as did Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Occasionally some of the other guys actually made a difference as well, but for the most part it was the Big Three that did the trick.
The Lakers know this and they want to make sure that the fans know it as well as a few other facts thanks to a picture they recently posted that puts the two streaks in perspective.
Hey, there is no denying that the Lakers were a great team back in the day; arguably one of the best that have ever played the game. At the same time, the Heat are a pretty bad-*ss team as well. Are they better than the '71-72 Lakers? Probably not, but that is also a question we can't ever find the answer to.
But it sure is fun to argue and talk trash, right?

It looks like the Heat were very close to beating the record of The Lakers. Thanks for the stats.
