With a minute and a half left the Wildcats were up by seven 53-46 when it all went wrong. It wasn' t like Davidson threw up a lot of bricks; they just didn't get any shots and Marquette did. Vander Blue had seven of his 16 points in the final 93 seconds culminating with the go-ahead layup with just one second on the clock.
"All I was thinking was, 'If I get to the rim, I have to finish,'" said Blue.
It may not have been pretty , but in the end No. 3 Marquette is moving on after notching a 59-58 win.
