Talk about your happy birthdays...Most folks prefer not to work on their birthdays, but NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth didn't seem to mind on Sunday in Las Vegas especially after a late charge got him the win.
Kasey Kahne had ruled the field for most of the day leading a race-high 114 laps, but Kenseth was able to take the lead coming off of pit road with 41 laps to go. Kahne was held up a little when he tried to leave pit road due to Tony Stewart coming in (who was stationed right in front of him) as he was trying to leave.
Over the remainder of the race Kahne threatened to overtake Kenseth a few times, but was never able to do so.
The win is the first of the season for the now 41-year old Kenseth. His last came during the Sprint for the Cup last season at Kansas Speedway on October 21.
