When you are up by three with less than five seconds to go you should win, right? Not always.
Richmond was up by three on Charlotte in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament, but somehow managed to lose by five, 68-63. How you ask? Just watch--
Yes, folks, in less than five seconds the Spiders gave the game away by committing some incredibly stupid fouls including three technical fouls to practically hand the game to Charlotte.
Between the players forgetting they were playing basketball and not football and the coach losing his cool Charlotte hit a series of free throws right at the end of the game to pull ahead and ice it.
The Richmond guys have to feel a little lucky in this mess. If it had only been their stupid mistakes that cost the game the locker room would have been real awkward after the game, but since coach screwed up just as much it no one has a right to b*tch at anyone!
