In case the whole football thing doesn't work out for him it appears as if Houston Texans running back Arian Foster ha a fall back plan now--acting.
Apparently Foster is going to have a pretty big part in an upcoming Kevin Costner movie called Draft Day.
Foster has done a little bit of acting in the past in a Hawaii Five-O episode centered around the Pro Bowl. While he just had a bit part in that show his character is going to be a major part of Draft Day.
Houston fans might be more likely to go see it to see how their boy does in a feature role, but secretly they will be hoping he sucks so that he isn't tempted to pull a Jim Brown and retire young in order to pursue acting.
For Costner it is not exactly going to be like going home again; more like a second home. His resume over the years has included some of the best sports movies in recent history--but they are all baseball flicks.
This time, rather than play an aging minor league catcher or a aging starting pitcher he will play an (aging?) general manager trying to get the No. 1 pick for his team.
So it sounds like Foster must be playing a running back that Costner wants to take with the first pick.
Type casting. Don't you love it?
