No Wonder Why Yu Darvish is So Hard to Hit
It has been a fantastic start to the season for Yu Darvish. Wednesday night was more of the same for the sophomore pitcher. He got plenty of help from the offense (11 runs), but he didn't need it. Over six scoreless innings only three Angels were able to record a hit while 11 struck out.
That brings his ERA down to 1.65 and his league leading strikeout total to 49. Of his 34 career starts he now has 11 games where he struck out 10 or more batters.
