Crazy Colts Fan - And With the No. 24 Pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts take...

Last season the Indianapolis Colts surprised everyone by actually being competitive. This season there will be no surprises. The rest of the league is going to be ready for them--so they better fill some holes.

The question is which one to fill--there's a bunch.

Last season they were not particularly good at anything. They were okay at everything. So there are really multiple spots they could look to fill when their turn comes. The question will be which.

Offensive line is the obvious pick. It is a miracle that Andrew Luck was upright as much as he was last season. Lucky for the Colts he happens to be as clutch as they come. No matter how much he was beaten up or how many guys were chasing him down he managed to get rid of the ball more often than not--and to someone on his team (gasp!).

That kind of luck is not going to last forever for Luck. Some team is going to come up with a defensive scheme that he can't outrun--so they need to get better at blocking.

The problem is that the linemen worth taking in the first round are likely going to be gone by time the Colts come up to bat. Chance Womack and Jonathan Cooper (guards) are expected to go top 12. Out of the tackles, three are expected to go top five, but the fifth rated one--Menelick Watson--could be available.

But as the fifth rated offensive tackle you have to wonder if they would be better off taking a higher rated player at another position....
