Texas A&M’s Luke Joeckel Still Expected to Go First in the Draft?

The draft is just days away and college fans are waiting to see where their favorite players are going to be taken. NFL fans are likewise looking to see who the next up and coming star is going to be for their favorite team. Everyone has their own agenda, but they will all be interested to see one thing.

Who is going to be picked first?




The popular choice since the college season ended has been Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel.

It is not the sexiest pick in the draft, but it goes without saying that it fills a need for the Kansas City Chiefs. Without a top flight running back or quarterback to take it really becomes about finding the best athlete that can fill a need and be a cornerstone for the team to build on for years to come—like an offensive tackle.

For Kansas City the need for a player like Joeckel is there. Matt Cassell spent much of his time getting beaten around, and the Chiefs released his primary protector, tackle Eric Winston, earlier in this off-season...
