Houston Texans Need to Get Andre Johnson a Little Help

Houston Texans Need to Get Andre Johnson a Little Help

When you play the Houston Texans you know who is going to run the ball, throw the ball, and more often than not catch the ball. When it comes to the quarterback and running back that is how it should be—not for the wide receivers though.

Even the bling is bigger in Texas!
For years there has been little doubt where the Texans are going to throw the ball—Andre Johnson (as long as he is healthy). In past seasons they have been able to get by with Owen Daniels, Jacob Tamme, Joel Dreesen, James Casey, Jacoby Jones, and Kevin Walter helping out, but of that group Daniels is the only one still on the roster.

Devier Posey and Keshawn Martin were both drafted last season in hopes of finding Johnson some help, but neither did exceptionally well, and Posey is still rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in January.

So—yeah, the Texans need to draft a wide receiver. Johnson is certainly hoping they will pick one up.
"I'd like to have another (receiver)," Johnson told the Houston Chronicle recently. "I'm all for it. I've asked for it for a while. The more weapons we have, the better it'll be for the team."
The question then becomes not only who, but who will likely be worthy of a first round pick and available when it becomes Houston’s turn at pick No. 27...
