Johnny Manziel Holds Court at 30,000 Feet

It's been good to be Johnny Manziel lately. The parties, the talk shows, the appearances, the interviews--the world can't get enough of Johnny Football! Of course with the good has come plenty of bad. The avid social media user has been known to lash back at his haters, only to succeed in bringing more criticism onto himself.

He is young; still growing and maturing. On a recent flight from San Diego--where he threw out the first pitch for a Padres/Nationals game--he showed a lot of class and maturity as he held court and held a Twitter Q&A during his flight back from San Diego.

I will admit. With the way he has acted in the past I have questioned Manziel's maturity and wondered how well he would handle the spotlight now that the whole world is watching. Then again, myself and the rest of the blog-o-sphere forget a really important fact--the dude is just 20 and in college.

Who didn't act a fool when they were 20 and in college? Shoot--if wasn't for some of the friends I had I might not be writing this from my kitchen table! Anyway...after this exchange--along with others--I'm really not worried about Johnny Manziel's maturity.

The following are some of the highlights from his Twitter Q&A:
Chase Anderson: @JManziel2 Why didn't you go to Texas? Are you glad you chose A&M? If you had to choose and you couldn't go to A&M, where would you go?
Johnny Manziel@chasesgay wouldnt change where i went for anything in the world I love it. Things at other schools just weren't meant to be
Robert Diaz@JManziel2 Do you think you can win the Heisman again? I think you can. #WhoIsArchieGriffin #JustKiddingJohnny Manziel@bobby_diaz24 would rather win every single game this year, but it would be cool. Team comes first the individual stuff will follow
the drunken master@JManziel2 do u wana play against Texas before u leave A&M?
Johnny Manziel@Marty_Party465 would love the opportunity, but dont see it happening in the near future.

Of course it wasn't all fun and games:
Brad Petrich@JManziel2 used to be a fan of yours. Ego got way too big
Johnny Manziel@brp2123 havent changed a bit man i'm sorry that you feel that way. Difference between cocky and confident

Not that there wasn't plenty of fun of course:

Samantha Sanchez@JManziel2 do you know the muffin man?
Johnny Manziel@tklsamsfancy of course..go check my instagram
Alex Nguyen@JManziel2 Think you can get with @KateUpton??
Johnny Manziel@alex9nguyening @KateUpton out of my league haha
Chad Haught@JManziel2 freebirds or wings n more?
Johnny Manziel@chadhot thats easy..love them both but Wings n More
Happy Gilmore: @jmanziel2 Ever hit a hole in one on a par 4?
Johnny Manziel@_Happy_Gilmore No Happy..but I have tried to take my skate off in a game and stab someone

The conversation ended somewhere between San Diego and Texas, but Manziel was nice enough to post an apology when he regained WiFi for not signing off.

WiFi cut off halfway through the flight I apologize for all the unanswered questions

The 'conversation' was a fairly long one, and you can see the whole thing if you would like right here.
