It would be nice to think it was because Johnny Manziel knows so much already that there isn't anything for the First Family of Passing to show him, but that is far from the truth. No, instead Johnny Football got sent home for doing what he does away from the football field--living la vida loca.
To be fair, this is an unsubstantiated rumor so take the story with a grain of salt.
What we do know for certain is that Manziel was late arriving go camp Saturday. When he did show up that afternoon, Pappa Manning (Archie) took him to the side for a little talk. Later in the day Manziel was supposed to participate in the Air It Out competition, but camp officials said that he was sick and would no longer be participating in camp.
Now he could be legitimately sick. It is possible that there is no cover up. However, knowing Manziel's love for living it up it would not be shocking if he had enjoyed himself a little too much.
Going to the Manning Passing Academy is a pretty big deal and to screw it up to the point where Archie Manning tells you to go home is pretty bad. On the other hand, Manziel has admitted that he is working on becoming a better man on and off the field.
At the age of 20 you should be working on it. While that doesn't serve as an excuse, it does put the deed into context.
He's a kid. He screwed up. It happens.
